The Compassionate Women Initiative (CWI) is a gospel-centered organization dedicated to holistically reaching rural women in Uganda. Since 2002, we have focused on transforming lives through evangelism, skills training, and community development. Our mission is to restore dignity to the vulnerable, ensuring long-term impact through the power of the Gospel.
Through strategic partnerships like Wise Choices for Life (WCFL), we stimulate positive behavioral change among youth, women, and men. Our training programs focus on reproductive health, professional workshops, and life skills. These initiatives empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty and lead productive, self-sufficient lives within their own ecosystems.
Evangelism is at the heart of everything we do. From prison visits to rural missions in Kalagi and Magoola Mayuge, we are committed to creating disciples for Christ. We believe that true community transformation begins with a spiritual foundation, providing hope and healing to those who need it most in Uganda.
With a presence across 13 districts, CWI has successfully implemented over 15 projects. Our goal is to raise $35,000 annually to deepen our impact. CWI is a gospel-centered, non-profit organization based in Uganda. Since 2002, we have been dedicated to the holistic transformation of rural women, widows, and vulnerable children through evangelism, skills training, and community development.
We currently have a presence in over 13 districts across Uganda, focusing primarily on rural and underserved areas like Kalagi and Magoola Mayuge, where access to resources is limited.
Donations are used to fund vocational training for widows, provide medical outreaches, sponsor education for orphans, and facilitate missionary travels for prison and village evangelism.
While CWI is a faith-based missionary organization that partners with various Christian ministries (like Wise Choices for Life), our focus is on the universal Great Commission—spreading the Gospel and serving the poor regardless of denomination.
